Divorced, with no chance for reconciliation
what turned things around for this couple?
After three years of marriage Lee and Diane LeFleur found themselves taking each other for granted and disagreeing on everything, which finally led to a one year separation and divorce in June of 2010. They tried marriage counseling two different times, but it never helped. In fact, during the separation Lee was seeing another woman who actually paid for his divorce.
While in divorce court, Lee remembers being surprised that the couples were crying and seemed to genuinely care for each other, but didn’t know how to get along—exactly what he and Diane felt.
When they came to the Succeed in Marriage course in October of 2010, “there was no chance at all for reconciliation” according to Lee. But he immediately felt at home in the course because it seemed that everyone had the same problems.
They attended all seven sessions and started to practice the material, and now they got remarried this past Saturday March the 12th!
Recently Lee was offered a great job as a managing director in another city, which would mean a significant increase in his income, but decided to turn it down because being with Diane and getting back together is more important than money and a better job.
If you want to hear more, Lee and Diane will be at the first session of the marriage course to explain how this course helped them to feel “enlightened and focused” in their marriage.
