bdhprofileLong story long:

Pastor David Higginbotham was born into a Christian home in Pennsylvania, moved to southern Africa with his missionary parents, and returned to live in Texas in the mid 70's, feeling far from God and unsure of his future.

As a pastor's son who turned to alcohol and drugs, he lived a double life - one for his parents and church, and another, that expressed the emptiness he felt inside.

"Though I eventually tried to straighten up my life, it was only after I got married that my faith was challenged. My wife developed a rare eye disease that quickly deteriorated to the point that she was legally blind. Our search for God was a journey that led me to be called into the ministry in 1987, and finally find healing for my wife's blindness."

Pastor David spent nine years working as a missionary in Africa, where he ministered to people mired in poverty, plagued by AIDS and entangled in the traditions of witchcraft. He is the author of the book "Possessed Believers", in which he chronicles the events that led him to Africa and the amazing miracles he witnessed there.

His book shows, through the examples of lives he personally dealt with, that possession and oppression as described in the Bible is still very much a part of the human condition today, though more easily disguised and explained away. He describes the 12 signs of possession or oppression, and how to be set completely free, no matter who you are, or what you have done.

David has been serving God as a pastor since 1987 in New York, South Africa, the Philippines, Los Angeles, London, England, and now in Houston, Texas. He and Evelyn have been married for 28 years and have two sons, Todd, 23, and Mark, 13.
