Meditation for Day 21:

"And so it is written, 'The first man Adam became a living being.' The last Adam became a life-giving spirit." 1 Corinthians 15:45

Comment: Comment: The first Adam, a living soul, represents those of us who are subject to the sinful nature of the flesh. The last Adam, Jesus Christ, refers to the Person that was conceived by the Holy Spirit. In other words, the Divine Being that was also a Man, and yet was not subject to the sinful nature of the flesh. Instead of being controlled by the flesh, He was controlled by the voice of the Spirit and never once disobeyed. And so, we conclude that until the day a so-called Christian's human nature is transforemed into a spiritual one, we cannot say that he is born of God. Only those who are born of the Holy Spirit are indeed spirit, that is, born of God.
